From the very beginning, Dr. Yanthan excelled academically. He earned distinction in his HSLC exams, securing 5th rank across Nagaland. In his Pre-University (12th Std.) studies, he achieved distinction in Mathematics and stood 3rd under Nagaland University. His outstanding performance continued in competitive examinations, where he consistently ranked at the top of state-level merit lists: securing 2nd rank in the Nagaland Pre-Medical Entrance Examination, 1st rank in the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) State Medical Services Examination and later achieving the top rank in the Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination (In-Service, Nagaland). These milestones not only underline his brilliance but also his consistency and drive to excel in every sphere of learning. Despite a flourishing medical career, Dr. Yanthan felt deeply drawn to another calling: helping young people — especially those from indigenous and underserved communities — and nurturing their full potential. To equip himself for this mission, he pursued specialized certifications in career and education counseling — including the Career & Education Counselling Certification (NSDC, India), the Advanced Career Counselor Certification Program (Bodhami, Goa), and the Global Career Counselling Certification (Univariety).
This led to the founding of ICATAN – Indigenous Communities’ Aptitude and Talent Accelerator Network, where he now serves as Managing Director and Educational Consultant. At ICATAN, he blends structured career tools with empathetic guidance, ensuring students and professionals can align their aptitude, interests, and opportunities in ways that create lasting fulfillment.
